Reservation: To secure your kayak, you can make a reservation online or visit us at Webber Paddle Park. We recommend reserving your kayak in advance, especially on weekends, to ensure availability.
Arrival: Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled rental time. This allows ample time for check-in, safety briefings, and any necessary preparations.
Valid ID: Upon arrival, head to our rental area. Bring a valid ID, which is required for the rental process. This helps us verify your reservation and ensures that all renters meet our age and safety requirements.
Waiver and Payment: You'll need to sign a rental waiver form, acknowledging the safety guidelines and agreeing to the terms of the rental. Payment can be made at this time if not already completed online. We accept cash, credit, and debit cards.
Gear Up: Once check-in is complete, you'll be provided with a kayak, paddle, and life jacket. Our staff will assist you in selecting the appropriate kayak—whether a single or tandem option—based on your reservation.
Safety Briefing: Before hitting the water, you'll receive a brief but comprehensive safety briefing. This includes instructions on kayak operation, safety tips, and an overview of the rental area within Webber Paddle Park..
Return Time: Keep an eye on the time to ensure you return the kayak by the end of your rental period. The last rental goes out at 7:00 pm, so plan accordingly.
Check-Out: Upon returning, our staff will assist you with exiting the kayak and returning the equipment. We appreciate your timely return to allow others the opportunity to enjoy their rentals.

The Salt River in Macomb County empties into Anchor Bay of Lake Saint Clair in Chesterfield Township. Headwaters rise just west of Richmond, 17.9 miles (28.8 km) of stream distance to the north. The river's greatest depth is 6 feet (2 m), although it is quite shallow for most of its length. The part of the river by Lake Saint Clair is lined with marinas. Further inland, it soon turns into a large marsh and forested area. Further north, the river runs through light residential areas and farmlands. Most of the river's watershed is rural, with suburban lands near the lake. The river is slow-flowing and quite swampy in most parts.
