After dedicating over a decade to law enforcement, Jason faced a significant medical event that changed his perspective on life. During his recovery, he discovered the healing and invigorating power of kayaking—a simple yet profound way to reconnect with nature and find inner peace. This newfound passion soon evolved into a greater mission: creating a welcoming community where others could experience the same joy, freedom, and tranquility that paddling brought to him.Joining Jason in this adventure is his wife Melissa Berenstein, a devoted lover of national parks and animals, especially her beloved dogs and cats. Melissa's passion for the outdoors and wildlife adds a special touch to the club, fostering an environment that encourages adventure, appreciation for nature, and a deep respect for the beautiful waterways they call home.Together, Jason and Melissa built Motor City Paddle Club Kayak Rentals to share their love of paddling with others, offering a place where families, friends, and solo adventurers can explore the serene Salt River and Anchor Bay. Motor City Paddle Club Kayak Rentals offers a variety of watercraft rentals at Webber Paddle Park, located along the scenic Salt River in Chesterfield Township, Michigan. Our rental fleet includes single kayaks, tandem kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, canoes, and GoBoats catering to both beginners and experienced paddlers. Operating Hours
Motor City Paddle Club Kayak Rentals is open every Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, with the last rental going out at 7:00 pm.
